Coloraze Apology

Posted by Siert on July 14, 2008, 12:11 p.m.

If any of you have played Coloraze: Spectrum lately, may may have noticed some offensive level names available for download, I apologize. These levels have been removed and a better filter will be made for the next version. Sadly, this may involve filtering numbers and symbols (to avoid spellings such as @$$)

Quote: PM to Offensive Levels Submitter

I assume that you changed the file name and then uploaded it.

I WILL NOT tolerate offensive material ("F**k Color" and "Trap of B**b").

Your levels will be deleted from the online database.

To fix this issue when the game starts any offensive files will be deleted without warning.

The "Coloraze Settings" file will also be encrypted.

On a lighter note, I just got back from my vacation and am begging to work on Coloraze again.

These are some suggested features that are under consideration:

Rabbit Hop disabling (not likely)

Another try on surfaces

Use of the XRP compression dll

Invisible blocks are invisible on level preview

Play and Download are combined (possible)

The judging has begun, results should come in soon.

Cool! And I didn't notice the language, since I was too lazy to download the update. :P

Do NOT disable rabbit hopping. Seriously. It will make so many levels impossible/much harder.

No, like a check box in the level editor.

darktemp was pretty pissed off for the 12 second clear, eh?

It was REALLY difficult to pull off. Plus, they should design their levels with rabbit hopping in mind. That's what I did for all of mine =o

I love the idea of rabbit hopping, but it isn't as powerful as it was before. Thanks for an update.

Rabbit Hop is great, I'm thinking of making a Fuck Color derivative with it called "Fuck Color like a Fucking Rabbit"
