Right Then, Bye

To whoever the hell keeps on screwing with my Private Messages on this site, kindly fuck off. I would expect that any information I send remains private to whom I send it to, and when I find that not only has it been read, but tampored with the the point of replacing every word with PENIS, then I lose all trust in the staff members of this site. I spend a lot of time writing these messages, and I think it's fair that I get rather pissed off when I find that they are non-recoverable.

Kindly, fuck off.

edit: Seeing as I apparently can't write a blog nor a private message without it being ruined, I suppose I have no more use for this site as I don't play the games any more. Almost ironic that my very first blog here praised the community, and yet it is the very reason I am leaving.

This is sad.

Well, given that staff can't alter messages without db access (which a good portion of us do not have), those of us who are that bored are also likely to be unable to do so.

Got FTP and did some stuff that might help. If you continue having issues, please contact me on AIM.

Kilin, I hope I didn't come off as storming. I had no intent on leaving when I first wrote this blog. But after seeing that a public attempt to get that person to stop it gets vandalized in itself, I just felt no compassion or reason to continue using the site. I was going to leave an address for anyone to contact me at, but figured it would be replaced with PENIS@PENIS.PENIS.

And flashback, I know mods don't have access to the database, I thought all admins did, though.

I'll probably use Facebook for future message exchanges. But it is frustrating that a large number of such messages have been lost.

Not sure why you're banning me though, I guess that's like how suicide is illegal.

edit: Forgot about this bit.

Yeah, it says P-mail instead of Private Message, but pretty sure it means someone broke the terms.

Oh obviously they did: If I find who it is, I'm going to banhammer them.

The old banning rule came from ages ago when there was a fad of people leaving and posting long tirade blogs to get attention, then they'd be "convinced" to come back and everyone would be nice to them to make them stay - we had the blog list filled with the "I'M ALL MAD AND LEAVING BYE GIMME ATTENTION" blogs. Once people started being banned, the fad ended - because all those doing it for attention realized they would get banned, which meant they couldn't collect on their being the center of attention.

I'm not going to ban you for this, though - I'm just more than a little exasperated that you chose to make a blog whining instead of just PMing an admin, or better yet AIM/MSNing one of us.

Well to be fair, I thought an admin was behind it, and wasn't really sure who to message.

No worries, it's happened to a lot of us, I've seen messages at one point, and come back to see them saying something completely the opposite, usually insulting the original poster. Probably just a hacker, they'll probably get bored and leave you alone eventually.

I lol'd. Especially since a few of the members have FTP access though a MySQL glitch that's been unfixed for over a year, meaning it doesn't have to be a mod to do something. I never use it though, since I respect the site and all. And no, that's not how I became a mod for… 10 minutes.

I can see how annoying that would be, and any action you take seems reasonable.

This hasn't happened to me though, maybe since I haven't sent a PM in over 3 months =P.

Next thing you'll know someone's user name will be mysteriously changed to "ILIKEPENIS".
