AXEPIG - Unexpected Landing Devlog #1

A plane crash-lands on an uncharted island far away in the ocean. Miraculously, almost everyone survives. Things start to break down when people realize there are only so many resources and few chances of leaving this forsaken place. But as the first drop of blood hits the earth, a chain of events is set into motion that threatens to send them all into perpetual suffering. The dead rise, same name, same face… well, a little bit more rotten - things rot fast in the jungle - and hungry for flesh. This island is cursed.

Sure, various leaders among the survivors have plans for escape, plans for a fix to all of this. But everything is so fragile. What will you do?

Summary:

-Character Generation (for AI, the player will be able to pick for themselves)

-Wild hog fight

-Security layer AI

-People get angry

-Angry people get axes

-What do you think happens next?

Also… I didn't make the competition deadline. But now I've got a cool iPad game about a mountain-man hipster mostly done, but that's shelved for the duration of this one. Besides, the competitors look tough - I've been playin dem games (and have been choosing them over Gothic 3 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. on my harddrive so that says something relatively positive ;) ).

This is a pretty interesting idea. I hope the final product has a lot more stuff to discover.

I like how you can start Oblivion-esque AI barfights; that's probably my favorite feature.
