The State of the Game

Hi all,

First off sorry for the no-blogs. I've been under the weather for the last couple of weeks.

There's no big insightful rant today, just wanted to let everyone know that my current project has been moving forward in leaps and bounds, and is almost ready for playtesting. Only a few more core parts need to be clicked into place.

One piece of information I'll impart here - the game in its current state is designed to be a multiplayer game, specifically hot-seat multiplayer. I may or may not move into net code for it, depending on whether I think it's worth it. But I'm also spending a lot of time looking into how to transfer the core gameplay into a singleplayer, story-driven format. We'll see.

I've reopened the dusty old tome of the RPG I've been documenting too. I stopped production a few months ago when I realised I didn't really know how I wanted it to play. So while I still haven't got a clue, I'll be continuing the story and character development. Hopefully something great will come out of it :)

Til next time, when I'm feeling a little better and can think enough to post something meaningful. adios!

I remember hot seat mutiplaying…and I remember the pain of setting up a network just to play lan games back in the day. Although these days I don't think theres as much use for hotseat.
