Black Steel Album - FINISHED!

Posted by anthonyloprimo on Jan. 6, 2013, 1:56 a.m.

For those of you who are aware (and those of you who just wanna hear music), I've finished my Black Steel album. It was an ambitious project that I originally had put onto kickstarter - it was an attempt to raise funds to help get some better equipment and to complete this album, as well as provide some awesome physical media as a reward and whatnot. It fell flat, but I promised I'd get it done. …And sure enough here it is!

Disc 1: http://vibedeck.com/anthonyloprimo/black-steel-disc-i

Disc 2: http://vibedeck.com/anthonyloprimo/black-steel-disc-ii

30 tracks, 2 discs. It's by far my best work to date.

It's pay what you want DRM-free mp3 tracks, and they start at an immense 0.00! Yep - download both discs for free, or be awesome and send some cash my way!

ONLY For those looking to give money for the album:

If you'd rather not purchase through VibeDeck, then contact me - we can work stuff out.

Why do I have to download individual tracks separately instead of an all in one Album?

"Mission 4" and "Falling Fight" are my favorites.

Overall it's a pretty cool album, perfect for a specific kind of game.

I admire how you keep the same setting/style throughout.

I like how you play on the main theme. Intelligent composing throughout.

Topgun style.

I like it, Iceman.

I really liked the stuff you showed us during the kickstarter, I'm gonna listen to these while I'm at work

Vibedeck isn't perfect, but it's one of the easier (and near-free) services to use to sell your own stuff.

Still looking to get some cash together to put stuff on CD Baby.

@Juju thanks! A few games - mostly some of the sonic games inspired me to go in that direction specifically. I'm glad I managed to get that across to the listeners. :D

@Charlie Carlo That and Ace Combat both had a lot of inspiration, especially the "Taking Flight" track, which is intended for a plane select screen and whatnot.

@ChIkEn glad you liked it. I hope you still like these finished ones as much as what you heard during the kickstarter :D

It's decent but… not really into it myself. Not something I would pay for but would be a decent background soundtrack for a game.
