Music and Miscellanea

I'm totally annoyed with the Windows API. It's okay with small projects, but start making bigger ones and it just gets impossible to manage. I'm looking into a thing called SmartWin, which is an object-oriented wrap on the Win32 API. It looks okay so far, but I can't find any decent documentation/tutorials for it.

I'm getting a little bored lately as I have no interesting games to play, and no projects to work on. Currently, I'm trying to learn more about WinSock and the Win32 API, but good tutorials are hard to come by.

I'm going to look into Wine to hopefully lead to Linux becoming my OS of choice. The only reason it isn't already is because some of my most used programs exist on Windows, hence my getting Wine. From what I've read it looks like it's going to come with a few complications due to my PC's AMD64 processor, which isn't the target architecture of Wine.

I've downloaded some new music recently; The Magic Numbers: Those The Brokes, Bloc Party: A Weekend In The City, and Snow Patrol: Eyes Open. Coincidentily, it seems out of each one of those albums there are only a few songs I like. This Is A Song by The Magic Numbers is cool.

I also downloaded Partition Magic off the ol' BitTorrent, but that's even less interesting than what I've been talking about so far ^_^. In any case, it looks like a good program so far.

My old PC (also my parents') is suffering from chronic slowness, due to Windows piling unnecessary updates onto it and backing up files on its own accord. My old PC's backup partition is 4GB in size for some reason I can't imagine. This is one of the reasons I'm putting Linux onto it.

So, I'm left with an API I sometimes enjoy working with, yet despise, no projects to work on, a program that I can only hope will turn out to be more good than hassle, some good music, a decent program, and a PC that I want to make my bitch.

Heh, my page has 420 hits and this is my first actual post ^_^

Finally, a blog from you. Too bad I can't comment on your text, because I have no idea what the hell you're saying. I suck with Linux.
