AI Help

I need some help making AI for my game. The tanks always end up leaving the room and not coming back. Could I use a path to make them sorta stay in one place? The ally tanks follow you, but they bunch up. How do I get them to spread out a little more? Once I can get past this I will be really close to releasing a demo.

What I have

The enemy tanks shoot at you if they are close. Ground missile launchers shoot at you. I have completed the movement for the tank, allowing you to lock the turret.

Banner…

Does my banner look good? I don't think it looks as good as my avatar. The colors are a little off.

Another Day

Yet again, I am at home, not at school. I could get used to this :) Right now it's looking like I am going tomorrow. I'd rather not.

Flash Website

If anyone knows where a good flash website maker is, please tell me. I think it will take a while to learn how to make a website in Flash.

Make them move by grids, where they move towards a certain grid point and check if that point is being moved towards.

Easy huh?

PM me it you need help.

If your having the ally tanks move toward the player tank, i could see why they would bunch up. Once there created or whatever, have them move towards random(50)+x or something. Obviously thats prolly not the exact code you're looking for, but you get the idea.

Look into motion planning in the help for GM.

Okay. Lets see…

Make each tank act as a "repeller" when tanks find themselves moving toward repellers (only check close ones), have them turn away. Walls and other obstacles can then be set up as repellers.

Right now I'm using the random(50) thing. It doesn't look that great but it works.
