[l56] Cellphones

Posted by leemcd56 on July 20, 2011, 9:15 p.m.

Just as a general question, what type of cellphones do the users of 64Digits have? Also, what type of operating system does it run with? Is it jailbroken/rooted?

I have the Motorola Defy. It is a red-lensed model, meaning when rooted it can record up to 720p. It is rooted and runs CyanogenMod 7 R0 with Android Gingerbread 2.3.4. I have my own custom boot animation on startup, also.

In terms of replacing stock apps, I use ADW Launcher, Dolphin Browser HD, GO SMS Pro, the Hacker's Keyboard, and Zedge.

I've got a blackberry - I'd like to switch to some phone that runs Android at some point. My coworker has a motorola atrix that he loves, so I might go with that at some point.

I have something that looks like a Blackberry but isn't.

If you know what this piece of garbage is, tell me.

@firestormx If or when you do, root! Moto makes great phones but the software put on it only uses a fraction of what it can do. XDA forums are the most helpful.

@JuurianChi A photo would be helpful lol

I have a "brick" that I almost never use because it sucks so bad and it costs 20 cents per text, so I just use my 4th generation ipod touch to text.

My phone got obliterated by a passing car about a week ago, so no phone for me for a while. =D

I do not have a smartphone, my Motorola W385 has been doing fine for 3 years.

I have a Samsung Finesse. I am tired of it and want any Android phone.

@JuurianChi if it's blue-ish, and if it's on Boost's network, then it could be a sanyo juno - or one of the similar ones.

I got a Galaxy Prevail (lol boost mobile). I rooted it… but I don't know what I want to do with it now. I wanna try to get flash on it, but.. yeah.
