Competition Entry and a WIP adventure game

Posted by Grinning Gorilla on May 7, 2010, 7:34 p.m.

I've recently submitted a game called Crash Landing for the Yoyogames Competition05. You can play it on Yoyo here:

http://www.yoyogames.com/games/120921-crash-landing

Or on 64digits here:

http://64digits.com/games/index.php?cmd=view_game&id=5297

It's an arcade style game where you play as a gorilla who has fallen asleep at the wheel and flown into a band of meteors …

Voxel Dungeon Crawler

Posted by Scott_AW on May 7, 2010, 5:06 p.m.

So instead a 16x16x16 object based dungeon crawler, we get a 64x64x64 one instead.

This is currently pretty early on, I'm currently naming them phase# and so on until the whole engine is done.

Right now it just features basic Old-School dungeon crawler movement, but with voxel objects creating the …

Eyes Without a Face

Posted by Mordi on May 7, 2010, 12:42 p.m.

I'm remaking an 80's ballad by Billy Idol. Not sure if I'll incorporate a C64-tune in it or just make my own melody. I got the basics down.

http://mordi.ziphoid.com/data/music/work_in_progress/Eyes%20Without%20A%20Face%20wip.mp3

It has no main melody.

The bass doesn't sound quite right to me. Not sure what to do with it.

Here …

First there was RBR;

Then there was FBF;

Now, the survival is key.

It's just a WIP I've been tinkering with the past couple of days. I built it off of RBR. Tell me about bugs, what you like, what I need, etc.

Note: I'm currently using objects for blood …

Posted by Darthvender on May 6, 2010, 1:21 p.m.

I don't know if anybody knows this, but I create Star Wars models in Sketchup - a Google 3D modelling program. I've made quite a few, from the Imperial-I to the Venator to the A-Wing to the Interceptor. Not all are featured on my page, but I would definitely reccommend …

Review of Domino's Adventure on toucharcade

It seems that just a short while again, Domino's Adventure got its first proper review on toucharcade. I am very pleased with this review, as it does seem to reflect the game well. It says that it feels like a lot of love went …

Rearranged with quick fix.

Download strip2voxel050410.zip

A bunch of little changes. Most important is that I moved the model creation part, which is not really needed, to the end of the program, and now its entirely optional to display the model. This is good to skip if you're generating large models which will run …

Star Wars Day = Meh

Posted by Darthvender on May 4, 2010, 6:17 p.m.

Well, after school I started watching Episode II and III of Star Wars, in honour of Star Wars Day, and boy do I wish I hadn't watched anything at all. The prequel trilogy is by far the worst part of the Star Wars series, excluding the Clone Wars, and that …
