Hey guys, I've been working to finish off the single player portion of the game so far, and this patch should just about finish it. However, I am encountering an issue with a multiplay lib that I was using. It appears to malfunction with game maker 7, so I'm going to have to wait until I find a suitable method of putting the game online. :(
For now, please enjoy the new additions and changes that this patch brings. Key highlights include shot interruption revamp, new map with boost pads, and 2 new talents. Here are the full notes:Deathball 2D Beta v1.6Version Notes======================—————————————————-Note: Saved game data from previous versions is notcompatible with this version, and will not load.—————————————————-GENERAL: - Added a new map called "Storm"! This map contains a new game mechanic. Boost pads on the map will greatly boost the speed of the ball in a certain direction. - The "IceDemon" map has been removed. - Interrupted shots (when you try to shoot the ball right after being tackled) no longer scale with shot-power increasing effects. - Interrupted and overcharged shots no longer have a chance of firing straight; they will always be inaccurate. - There is now a visual indication for when you are interrupted after a tackle. This will help you time your shots to avoid an interrupted (weak and inaccurate) shot. - Reduced the duration of the shot interrupt effect by 20%. - Added a new topic under Advanced Moves in the game help: Avoiding Shot Interruption. - Lowered AI shot power. - The ball now retains more speed after hitting a goalkeeper. - Goalkeepers will now be stronger against slow close-range shots and fast long-range shots/volleys. - Added a new section in the game help: Extra Features - Made some minor graphical improvements/fixes.TALENTS: Recoil Dampener - Removed the 100% shot accuracy bonus. Now also reduces the duration of shot interrupt effects on you by 30%. Bloodrage - Duration reduced from 8 to 6 seconds. Feedback - Removed. *NEW* Recoil Absorption - Tier 2 talent: "Whenever you are tackled without ball possession, you recover 5/10/15 health." Endurance - Reduced the health regeneration bonus from 10% to 5% per point, and increased the maximum health bonus from 5 to 15 per point. Titanium Plating - Reduced the effect from 10 to 8 per point. *NEW* Harmonic Resonance Gun - Tier 5 talent: "Pressing the Spacebar creates a harmonic wave that pushes objects away. 10 second cooldown."BUG FIXES: - Fixed an issue where shots fired at a certain angle would slide past the goalkeeper.———————————————————————I would just like to say that I am extremely sorry about the huge delay in getting the game online, but it is a very complicated process.
