What forums do you think are the best? Tell me what you visit and why, this could become a quite interesting discussion. :)

The ones I visit most often all have their benifits…

GMC: (http://www.forums.gamemaker.nl/index.php?)

The beast. With thousands of members it's easy to have your ganme swallowed up by the hordes of clones, nooby first games and 10 minute games.

When it does get noticed, however, the huge amount of people means you are likely to get some amazing ideas and criticism that can help a heck of a lot.

GMG: (http://www.gamemakergames.com/forum/)

For me this is the secondary GMC. With not quite as many members it is easier to have your game noticed. It is also a more friendly environment, and you get nicer comments overall. Sometimes a little harsh criticism is nice though, but that's what the GMC is for :)

Finished games get a nice place in GMG as well.

GMOT: (http://www.gmot.chronic667.com)

This is a great forum to get to know fellow Game Makerians and what they're like outside of Game Maker. It has heaps of intelligent discussions as well :O

It's perfect for when you want a break from Game Maker.

I like to think of GMC as the "Capital City" of the forum world in terms of GameMaker. You release something there, and if it gets noticed, you see it popping up in discussion in other places. Really cool.

I don't like any of them in particular, although if your game gets popular enough it will get hot at the GMC. But sadly, at the GMC crappy games get much more attention (even if it isn't positive, it's still attention, and your topic thus stays at the top of the page) than nice, original ones.

True, and that's why it's much better to show your games at other places. I've seen amazing games with 1 or 2 replies and shitt* games with 3-4 pages of replies. Stupid people, they think its a putdown to the creator to keep criticizing him. Hey, he could care less, he's still on the front page!
