Divinely Uninspired.

I hate it when this happens. I hate it so much I want to shoot myself, but it seems to be inevitable,

Every so often, I just dry up (creatively speaking, no smart remarks please), and there doesn't seem to be anything I can do about it. I try to start all sorts of projects, music, games, writing, whatever, but I lose motivation within only a few minutes, and that in turn makes me feel really depressed. Creativity is, you could say, my life, but every so often one of these dry spells comes on, and I feel completely helpless. And all I have to fill the spaces, so to speak, is schoolwork, which is not very fulfilling, to say the least. I wish I were like cactus. He can make an awesome game in one afternoon, and he releases at least one a month.

I don't know how long this will last; it's usually a few months, so don't expect anything from me anytime soon. Not that anyone cares anyways.

I have always found deprivation to help. Get the hallucinations going, but be sure to write it down so you remember it all. What? You think I'm joking?

Well, yeah, I have friends, but that's not quite what I meant. Friends don't 'keep you busy,' at least not in my experience.

What you do, Jabby, is take a normal everyday object and… woah, my mouse is moving on it's own. That's weird. It's still moving as I type this. It's like stopping and moving. Let me hit it. Okay, that's fixed.

Anywho, where was I. Ah, yes. Take a regular object, slice off half of it mentally, and put another imaginary half on it. Now, make the imaginary half different from the normal. You'll get something weird. You keep slicing and changing it until you have something unique.

Now, come up with a game idea and do the same thing. Let's say FPS. Instead of shooting people, let's make it dogs. Now, instead of using guns, let's use sandals. Instead of taking place on Earth, let's put it in the clouds in the sky. Let's call it, "I THROWS SHOES AT DOGS AMIDST THE ABOUNDING LIGHT OF HEAVEN"!

There, you go. Now, you try.
