Non "Worms!" related.

Hi.

I am making a simple platformer side-project, and i could use some help from someone experienced with platformers. I also need someone that knows slopes, but, as before, i dont think that will happen. As i said, its just a side project of mine, and i wanted to make it not story driven platformer. I am planning to use online highscores and have people post their best times, on lots of levels.

Some quotes from the "Worms!" topic:

Quote:
I've tried your game, things you've done good is;

* The menu, really smooth pictures.

* Animations.

* Music!

* The way you set up the levels.

WOW!!!!! Great game! How many times have I played this game?

Great game, but the controls are pure hell…

Looks like it's based on Worms. Gameplay is different, though.

Slopes aren't too hard.

Best way to do them is to adjusting the x and y.

Kenon: I just cant get them right. I always make the character stuck on the egde, or just not smooth enough.

Help?

Just use the Ack-Ack engine or the Fox Engine…

Sorry to bugging you, but when are Worms! coming out?

Sorry for Worms! related reply, but I couldn`t help myself.

Hehe, the next version will be released as soon as the bots are done. Thanks for caring.

I will check the Fox engine, dont want to change my current engine alot just for slopes, though.

Yeah, sloples look hard, but they are real easy. There's tons of platform examples on 64D. Loads of them have slopes. So yeah, SEARCH

Hmmm. I decided that i wont go for slopes. I just couldnt get the man go smoothly up, instead of getting stuck for half a second. Plus, i dont want to spend so much time on it, i always do that. :(
