Grease Pod - a candidate for my bands name.. what do you think? It makes no sense, I know, but it has a nice hook to it.

Just came back from our weekly jamming, was a ton of fun! I wrote a song during the week - just one of those basic blues riffs (sounds alot like Heartbreak Hotel), but with a lil solo and OH MY GOODNESS… the vocalist in my band finally decided to open his mouth and sing, he ROCKS. Sheesh, I feel insignificant working with 2 amazing musicians such as my drummer (who can really rip out an awesome drum solo) and my vocalist/bassist, who is just coooool. He grabbed my lyrics tonight, went outside, and came back singing the melody that I gave him only spiced up like a blues song should be.

We're planning to record some pieces in the next few weeks. At first, just with my church's basic soundboard & PA… and then, I'll be visiting a proper, professional recording studio after we write some more stuff and further polish our works, and we'll get some sick songs up. *YEAAAH*

Not only will we be recordin' the blues song I wrote, but an acoustic "house of the rising sun" (with me singin' and playing guitar), a call & response bass and drum jam session, blues jamming, and a Prog-Rock/Blues Rush-style song we composed earlier (currently called "The Grease Jam")… Gaah, so excited.
