Travelling for the very first time! That's right boys, yours truly has left home and is out and about in the world, trying to get somewhere.

It's not as great as it sounds. I'm actually only gone for 3 months. Where am I going? I'm going to Alaska!! Yeah, my first real time in America and I choose the most secluded and odd place ever. I hear it gets cold up there.

So yesterday I left home with most of my things. My boyfriend made his way over (he's from Alaska. Don't ask.) and drove up to my house where we piled my things in the auto, said goodbye to my family, and are now heading up in the Alaskan direction.

We're in a town called Merritt right now, still in British-Columbia. It's only an hour and a half away from my city. We drove up, spent the night in this really silly looking "Econo Lodge" and are getting out real soon to start a 18 hour drive to… Prince Rupert I think it's called. Somewhere along the way there's a boarder/customs thing where we gotta go through. I'm kinda scared about that. While I'm not carrying any drugs or "bad things" I do have a lot of stuff in the car and I'm nervous about them going through my personal belongings.

Assuming I survive customs, we should be on the boat to Wrangell, Alaska!

Alright, so I'm writing this and it's now 6am on the dot. Shoot, make that 6:01am. We are leaving in four hours so hopefully I'll hang around in time to read many "OMFG ur crazy" comments. The next time I check in it'll be the 4th of July in the US of A and I should be with his family and I'm told they have internet.

Yup.
