[V] Borderlands

Extremely fun game. Like no shit, go buy it now. I finally beat it after I think… 35 hours registered in play time? A long ass time. But the game is amazing, throwing RPG elements into a badass shoot'emup game. The entire time I've been playing, there's been something to do the entire time, and I personally love it. The graphics are beautiful and diverse as the enviroment changes, but the night/day system really messes me up (I'm a hunter, so it's hard to hit the target at night).

Words don't really do it justice, it's just awesome. Some of the guns, if used by the right classes, are just WTF powerful. I think I have one of the strongest weapons in the game, out of sheer luck, for a hunter, but I shouldn't ramble on. I think you get my point.

In terms of other things, like Sapphire Tears, I'm getting better. Much better. If ya got any hope of catching up to me, or keeping me down, start playin' again.

Yeah, not much else to report. I get to register for spring classes tomorrow.

borderlands is fucking awesome.

If you're on PC, grab "GameRanger", it goes around bloody GameSpy and the rest of the awful online and just pretends to be LAN. I'm PY on it if somebody wants a game some time, but I'm already playing it with 3 other people so yeah.

I had GameRanger once. We used it to play Age of Empires 2 online. Man I love Age of Empires 2.

It stopped working after a while, so then we started using this program called Tunngle instead. If you've ever used Hamachi, you'll know it's a bit annoying. Tunngle is way better, so much easier. Only downside is the beta is in German and there's no translation yet, afaik. Really good program though.

As for Borderlands, I haven't got it yet. Going to get it for my birthday because since coming to uni I've spent nearly £100 on games so I'm laying off for a while. At least until I get a job.

I am also a hunter on Borderlands. Only played 10 hours so far, so it is good to know that I have plenty more play time left since I am really enjoying it. Multiplayer is good fun, but I also like single player. Taking on Skagzilla on my own was pretty exciting, and had the benefits of allowing me to take time to choose the best weapon, rather than the mad rush of grabbing a weapon that seems to happen in multiplayer.

Yeah, I did the whole campaign solo, so the next character I make, I'll powerlevel on guardians, so I'll be level 15 on the new character by the time I run through all of the descent.

I still wonder if there's any bonus or hidden content after beating the campaign…

The bonus is you get to play through the game again with ridiculous weapons. Like a shotgun that fires missles that regenerate faster than can be fired.

I'm downloading Borderlands as we speak. 64Digits Borderlands party anyone?

Sounds like a plan :)

It does, actually. I'll see if I can torrent it over the next few days or something, I just hope my laptop can take it.

It can run on a wide range of computers. Anything with at least 1gb of RAM and a semi-decent graphics card should be able to run it on low settings. High settings are pretty ridiculous. Even my laptop runs into lag with the settings maxed.

BTW, my soldier is lv30 now =)
