It's been awhile (LGM, LINUX)...

[l]W[/l][sc]ell it's been awhile since my last post so here goes:[/sc]

I've switched over to Fedora Core 6 instead of Windows so my GM life has ceased to exist for now… For that reason i've started helping IsmAvatar with LGM, which so far i've been able to load the first two tabs in the Game Options (Hey, their easier then loading resources, AND they come before resources in a GM6 file). I do have to say it's comming along pretty nicely, but doesnt have a GUI yet [=(].

Back to linux. I'm using Fedora, which is an EXCELLENT distribution of Linux, however i accidently downloaded a beta version, so i get shit for programs which sucks, my webserver doesnt even work properly which is pissing me off… But i still love it…

GM hacking has also ceased to exist because… Well you know. WINE wont emulate the GM6 IDE which sucks, but i suppose i can live with it for now untill LGM gets finished.

And i guess that's it besides me being sick which also sucks.

That LGM thing sounds cool. I am saving up for a computer, which I am going to install Linux on, so I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Im looking foward to finishing it ;) lol.

It loads about 12 settings so far, and displays info about each of them in a console.

Gentoo.

LGM sounds like it's coming along nicely. Congratulations to you and IsmAvatar (who really needs to sign up here)

I've always been a RedHat fan, so when RedGat went payed i switched to Fedora. Fedora is a GREAT distribution, one that i have no problem with using.

Yeah, but I'm partial to Debian-based distros, and MEPIS is an ubuntu-debian hybrid, so it does exceptionally well.

Gentoo and Fedora don't have the hardware support nessicary for my laptop's externa wireless card - I have a wireless b linksys card in a pc slot on this thing (A Toshiba Satellite 2800, Pentium Celeron 650, S3 Savage IX 8mb card, 192mb RAM). MEPIS just worked with it, and gave me way better performance than Ubuntu had, or Windows ME before it.

Heh. I've got Fedora Core 4 and I'm going to install DSL on my 128MB USB stick.
