Hallo thar.
Posted on May 02, 2007 at 12:13

Recent Edit:

Winzy, woot.

Don't ask about the title. I'm not good at naming things.

Misc. Stuff:
Speaking of naming things, I made a new song in FL Studio and I named it "Sinister Intentions". It sounds awesome according to the people who have heard it

Anyone still got a DS? I got an R4DS player and I need someone to play on Wi-Fi. Incase you don't know what an R4DS player is, you can either click on the link or keep reading.

The R4DS player is pretty awesome. It allows you play music, play movies, run homebrew etc on your DS. But most importantly it allows you to download NDS roms and play them on your DS (it's not piracy if you own the real games and I.....ummm.....do >___>). It's fun showing off to people with it. For example, I'm playing Pokémon Diamond and people are like "WTF? That game's not even out here yet!" (I live in the UK).

School Stuff:

I'm currently doing my Key Stage 3 papers (all your UK people will know what I mean) and I've only got one more test to go (Science test tomorrrow, I think it will be the hardest test yet [=(]).

GM Stuff:

Marbs and I are working on a 3D online war-ish game. You can fly a plane, drive a tank, drive a jeep or just be a normal soldier. Seeing as I'm not the greatest modeller in the world, the player will be a ball that you will be able to customize. It may not sound great from this description but it's going to be awesome when it's released. [:D]

Click here for a screenshot of what we have done so far. It's a screenshot of the testing room I have set up. You can see the models. [^^]

Also, I came up with an awesome name for a new website. Sinister Studios (I know, I keep using sinister). It's already taken by 2 other websites but they have different domain names (.com and .net). So I'll have to use something else...

Well, I think this is long enough and it definitely contains content. So yeah, keep yer stick off the ice and watch out for those commies. [:P]

-0NL1N3- is back.
Posted on April 18, 2007 at 15:19

Hey peeps. How's it going? Not that anyone cares that I was gone (How could you not? [:(]) but I'll tell you why I was gone.

I've been offline for roughly the past 2 months because I moved house. It didn't take me 2 months to move house (so no smartass comments [:P]) but I didn't have the internet. So, I was bored. VERY BORED. Seeing as I was bored, I installed a few games on the PC. I installed GTA Vice City, Age of Empires 2, Star Wars Battlefront 2, etc. The point is, I was bored.

So, what's been going on with everyone? I feel that I missed out on a lot of stuff. I got the BT Broadband Home Hub with my new internetz. People living in the UK will (should) know what that is but just incase you didn't, I have provided a picture.

It's pretty cool. The small icons light up green and the phone is almost the same as a mobile (cell) phone.

I just noticed that I have over 3000 hits. Holy crap, who the hell looks at my blog? O.O Anyways, it's good to back.

I am dead!
Posted on January 04, 2007 at 18:57

Well, people keep making these "I'm not dead" blogs so I thought that I'd go for something different.

I got 2 screenshots of my 2000th hits thanks to myself and DF81.

GM Stuff:

I'm working on V2 of my online engine. I'm adding an account system, chat functions and more examples. I'm going to update it to work with 39DLL V2.5 too. The account system doesn't use a webserver now because I couldn't be bothered with PHP. I'll make that system later. Right now though it just saves the accounts to the server's PC. I'm writing a manual/tutorial for it so that you will know how the engine works and how you should use it.

Life Stuff:

I got an Xbox 360 for Christmas. I got G.R.A.W. (Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter), Gears of War and Saint's Row. I have Live too, my gamertag is LiamStrawbridge. I'm lucky because my name takes up the exact amount of characters that you're allowed for your tag. I have a gamerscore of 730 so I'm pretty happy.

If you have Live, I suggest that you check out 360Voice.com. Your Xbox 360 blogs about you [:P]. Here is mine. My Xbox 360 likes me. Here is my Xbox.com profile. If you have Live too, PM me your gamertag.

Website Stuff:

As you can see by my new banner, Prixel has a new logo. I made the joypad myself. I got a picture of an Xbox 360 gamepad in Photoshop and used it's design. I'm pretty happy with it. I haven't updated the site with it yet though.

Well, that's my blog for now. Check my comments for my 2 screenshots.

Also, visit Prixel.

I released my online engine to the GMC! OH TEH NOES!

Anyways, go comment on it. You can find it here.

I'm trying to think of something that will make my members visit the site everyday. I was thinking of something like a 100 tutorials/examples marathon. I could make a poll for all the members so that they can choose which tutorial/example they would like to have made next. If you have any ideas, please tell me. You can find Prixel here (www.prixel.byethost16.com). I'm also looking for a moderator for the forums.

All this week (starting tomorrow) I have exams. Although, it's just 3 days at school which isn't so bad. 3 exams each day for 3 days. However, I finish school on Wednesday when my exams finish so I'm happy about that.

GM Related:

Would you like to see a small 3D online example that uses my engine? I'm thinking about making one. If you want me to make a different example, I'll do it.

So, did I make a mistake by posting my engine on the GMC? Hmm... If you used it, please leave a comment in the topic. I want some serious comments before the noobs come in.

Online Engine - Released
Posted on December 14, 2006 at 13:07

Yup, I submitted my online engine and it was accepted. It has a Kirby Online example from me and a Racer Online example from Marbs.

Credit to Toon-Master for helping me out with some problems.

I don't whether or not to release it to the GMC seeing as what happened when SJF released his MMORPG example and got a massive load of noobs PMing him. It would help people but it would also attract a lot of noobs. Maybe I'll just ignore my PM box if I release it there. [:P]

I got new games for my DS:

Crash Boom Bang and Yoshi Island DS.

I finished Crash Boom Bang in 1:53 hours. It's an addicting game. It's one game made up of over 40 minigames. If anyone remembers Crash Bash for the PS1, it's like that, only for the DS.

Yoshi Island DS is one hell of a game. The babies are pretty cool. Mario has a dash ability and he can turn into Super Mario which allows you to walk up walls, stutter jump longer (Stutter Jump: Hold in the Jump button while in the air and Yoshi waves his legs to stay up longer) and dash. Peach has an umbrella which allows you to stutter jump longer. Donkey Kong has a punch/dash type thing, can climb up vines and can move heavy things. Wario has a magnet which allows you to attract metal things like coins, metal platforms and metal boxes.

So, that's about it. Download the online engine and make your own online games.

Online Engine + Contest Banner
Posted on December 13, 2006 at 14:15

Welcome! Have a cookie.

Online Engine:

Yup, I made one. Marbs has tested it and it works fine. I'm using it in my Kirby Online project and when I gave it to Marbs (to help him out with making an online game) he made a racing game. He tested it at school and it worked perfectly with 7 people. The max amount of players you can have is 255 but in my engine, it's 20 (although you can change it). I'm not releasing yet seeing as I want to add account creation first. It doesn't require much to make an online game either. The only objects that it needs are: obj_player_self, obj_player_other and obj_control. You can make any kind of online game with it. Also, I over-commented it so you should understand it.

As I said, I'm not releasing it yet but if you have any ideas you may like me to add to it, just tell me.

Contest Banner:

EDIT: It's a .swf file and embedding it won't work, so here's a link.

My new contest banner! I made the background in Photoshop and animating the snow using Actionscript in Flash 8. Woot.

So, that's about it. Visit Prixel too. Don't ask why, just do it. [:P]

It is I, -0NL1N3-
Posted on December 07, 2006 at 19:34

Yup and I got stuffs to tell you. [:D] Leave now or you'll regret it...don't actually leave you dumbass.

My Birthday:

The 7th of December was my birthday (which was yesterday seeing as it's 15 mins past 12am here) and I'm now 14. Woot, now I can.....do nothing different. [:(]

For Christmas, I'm getting an Xbox 360 (Premium package [:o]) with Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter and Saints Row. I also got an extra wired pad. And guess where my mother hid it? In her bedroom, upstairs.

I started playing Halo online on my PC again. The other day something strange happened:

Click here to see the image because it's 800 x 600 which could possibly kill you dial-up users.

I downloaded an e-book on actionscript (Action script is the programming language in Flash, incase you didn't know) and it's pretty helpful. I might produce a flash game within the next few days...

Why is no-one visiting it? It's not like it has aids or something...Anyways, you can find Prixel here (www.prixel.byethost16.com). I'll start hiring mods if we get a few more members...and we also have cookies.

In other news:

I seemed to have overused periods (dots - ...) in this blog. If you want to play Halo with me add me on Xfire (0nl1n3), MSN ([email protected]) and/or PM me. You're better off going with one of the first 2 options seeing as I rarely check my PM inbox.

When typing website addresses into your web browser do you always start it with "www.";?:

1. Yup
2. Nope
3. I hear your website has cookies, can I have one?
4. Three letters buddy, W T F?
5. Why are there 6 options to a poll that can be answered with either yes, no or sometimes.
6. Sometimes

Prixel - My new website
Posted on November 25, 2006 at 07:18

Yup my website is finally up. You can find it here (http://prixel.byethost16.com). It's powered by PHP-Nuke and you can submit your examples/tutorials/games there for other people to download and rate/review. One thing though, the file will not be hosted on the website so you will have to host it somewhere else.

It has forums too, but they have ads (until I find a way to get rid of them :P).

You can affiliate with Prixel too. Just visit this topic in our forums.

The GMC topic is here.

In other news, my Kirby Online project is coming along nicely. It's an online platformer. It has barely any lag, you can see each other's usernames and chat. As my friend described it, "It's like MSN, only you have something to do.". I'm going to add an account system and a menu (obviously). Right now, there is nothing to do but I'm think of adding a sort of minigame that I can activate at any time via the server. It's like New Super Mario Bros. for the DS. In a wi-fi vs match you and your friend have to collect a certain amount of stars to win and you can hit each other to get stars. I might implement this as the minigame unless I get any other ideas. If you have any, please tell me.

Well that's about it. So visit the site, leave a comment in the shoutbox on Prixel, leave a comment here and maybe even register on Prixel. It's up to you.

I also realized that I missed my 1337th hit. [:(] Too bad no-one took a screenshot...

Posted on November 12, 2006 at 14:51

Ok, first of all, I made new avatar, banner and sig! Woot. Anyways, Prixel is the name of my website (which isn't up yet). Tell me what you think about it.

Metroid Prime: Hunters:

Anyone play it online? I've had it for a while and I want to play something else rather than just deathmatch. So if you play it online, leave a comment/PM me/add me on MSN ([email protected]) and I'll give you my friend code. Of course, I'll need yours too.

Also, I got the Nintendo DS Opera web browser. It's pretty sweet. I can visit the GMC and go on e-buddy mobile to chat to my friends on MSN but the most important thing is that I can visit 64Digits. When you're typing in something, you can the tap the keyboard or use the hand writing recognition.

Aeron has been helping me out with FL Studio and I made a song. Click here to hear it on Music Lib (http://themusiclib.com).

It's hard making a custom skin for Seditio. >_< How come when you write a blog it looks big in the text box but it doesn't when it's posted? I tell you, there's a conspiracy! There are spies among us...

Wow. Got a bit carried away there [:P].

Also, since I had to explain this in my sig at the GMC, I'll do it here too. The "Thanks" at the end of each of my messages/blogs means "Thanks for reading this"/"Thank you for your time".

I just realized that I used a lot of forward slashes in my blog. O_o

Pokémon Online (No I'm not making it)
Posted on November 05, 2006 at 12:07

Today, I got the VBALink GBA emulator. You can play over the internet with other people, play over a LAN network or from the same computer (run 2 VBALinks).

Anyways, me and Toon-Master decided to have a Pokémon battle over the net. It lags but you can still do stuff ok. We first tried to have a battle where he had 6 Pokémon and I had 2. But that never loaded. So then we decided to use 1 each. He used Rayquaza and I used Sceptile (Treecko FTW). He useed confuse ray and confused me. I hurt myself from my confusion. Then he used Signal Beam (wtf?) and it knocked me down to 7 HP and when I tried to attack him but ended up hurting myself and killing myself.

Anyways, here's a small tut for people who want to try this (over the internet):

1. Get VBALink. Hint: www.vbalink.info
2. Get some multiplayer ROMs i.e Pokémon Emerald (PM mw if you don't know where to get ROMs)
3. Ok, so start up VBALink and load the ROM.
4. So then when your ready to start, the host goes to Options -> Link -> (Make sure to check Wireless Adapter) Settings...
5. Click on the Network radio button.
6. Type the port into the box near the bottom (we think that you have to forward the port but we did it anyways)
7. Put the slider above the port number box up to faster.
8.Then click on the server tab and click start.
9. Now for the client, when your ready to connect go to Options -> Link -> (Check the Wireless Adpater) Settings...
10. Do steps 5 - 7.
11. Then click on the client tab, type in the server's IP, hit connect and wait till you have connected.

There you go. When you're both connected continue to do the multiplayer setup the same way as you would if you were playing multiplayer with a real GBA.

For Pokémon this would be:

1. Get your Pokémon in your party.
2. Go upstairs in the Pokémon Center and go to the last woman in the room (at the right hand side of the room).
3. Talk to the woman and follow the steps.

PM me or add me to MSN (see my profile) if you want to have a game.

So there you have it, Pokémon online without the noobs. [:P]

Edit: I just realized that I had over 1000 hits. Thank you all!
