I'm Back from RIO?
Posted on June 18, 2010 at 12:11

Well, I'm back now. Yeah, so, I've been back for about a month but I'm still trying to get used to the US again. Everything is soo clean, at least where I live.

It was way awesome in Rio. I have to say that it was time and money well spent. If any of you get a chance to go to Rio, take it. It is a beautiful city.

Here is a picture.

I'm still trying to remember how to program lol. It has been a long time sinse I have done any programming and I'm just getting back into it again. It isn't taking too long though.

I've already started a new project called. "It's Raining Zombies." if you want you can check it out in my projects section.

Here is a youtube video preview. (click the screenshot)

I'm pretty excited to get back into this community, I've always enjoyed the people here and their games, mostly their games but I like you guys too =P.

Leaving for 2 years?
Posted on May 12, 2008 at 17:12

Well, I guess I'll tell everyone that I'm going to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for 2 years and I won't have access to a computer. I'm not too happy about that but it will be worth it. I'm excited about leaving and I guess I will just have to be surprised with what happens to GM and 64digits while I'm gone. I won't be leaving for about 2 weeks.

For those of you who have been watching my WIP Bade,

the odds of me finishing before I leave are very low. I will probably just use the time to make different examples, or just mess around on GM.

It is going to be crazy when I get back because I will probably have to relearn GM XD.

I will be learning Portuguese.

I'm going to miss this community the most but I will be back =).

This is completely off the subject but.
Yet another newb question.
What are Glyphs?

Anyway I will give an official "Good Bye" blog the day I leave.

Badges for me.

Ok so I thought I would right a new blog since I want some more page hits... :P

I think I been with 64digits for about 5 days and I'm loven the sight. I've got 1 game, 1 project, 3 badges YAY, and like 4 blogs, or something. I do have a few questions that I can't seem to get an answer to.

How do you reffer somebody?

Why can't I join the forums..?

If you know the answers and feel like telling me feel free to do so. If not No biggie.

Anyway to help with blog space here is a story about my saturday from a few weeks ago.

Ok so this isn't really the most interesting story but some you might like it.

When I woke saturday my house was a mess and invaded by all my little cousins (I love them to death but sometimes....) So I stared cleaning, yeah you can imagine how that went. I think I swept like 4 times before I made my brother mop. Anywho when I finished I went out to ride my mountain bike, I did that till my dad and brother got home. They apparently had been talking about fixing up our motorcycle because my brother, uncle, and dad all started working on it. The kick-start was broke so they go the bright idea to pull it behind my uncle’s vehicle to start it, yeah…. dumb. Luckily nobody was hurt but they still didn’t get the motorcycle working. Then I had to take my sister to here driving class and afterwards go to a 4-HOUR meeting with my boss. 4 hours on a Saturday is WAY to long, by the time I got back they had gotten the motorcycle running but the house was a huge mess again.

One last thing. If you like my banner, you don't have photoshop, and you have never heard of Paint.net
Check it out. I realy like it so far.

Bade (My new idea)
Posted on May 08, 2008 at 13:24

Idea description
Bade will be a platform RPG game with lots of different items. The player and all other creatures in the game will be animated by the computer with differen't body parts. This will give the player the ability to change armor and see a visible change to the character.

The game will be for the 3rd yoyogames competition so I will have to implement the theme of co-op in it. I'm thinking about giving the player a pet that he can teach and train to obey commands.

The player will be able to coustomise there character with differen't eyes, hair, noses and such to make the game more personal.

The attacking will be fairly simple but will be affected by speed (Like Mount and Blade). If you are walking backwards and you attack it will give you a negetive speed bonus, resulting in less damage, but if you are running forwards it will give you a positive speed bonus, adding more damamge. There will also be a knock back factor and a stall factor. There will be no magic for the player, some enemies might use magic.

Player Actions
The player will be able to walk, run, grab edges, attack, jump, block and do a charge attack.

Here is a small demo. All it really shows is the physics and some sprites.

I just joined 64digits a few days ago and so far I'm pretty impressed. I would however, like some suggestions from people who have been here for a while. what do you think would be a fun thing to do first? Do you know of some fun games or awsome blogs? Tell me and I'll check them out.

Please don't promote your own game or blog though or I will delete it.

The Yoyogames Competition
Posted on May 05, 2008 at 10:18

Yesterday I finished my game for the 2nd yoyogames competition and so far I'm not to pleased with the way the competition is working out. There must be lots of "Hate raters" because most of the competition games are under 4.0. It is sad to see because there are some really great games!

I know the staff at Yoyogames tried to prevent this by only letting people who are not entering rate but they can't control how many accounts people have.

If you havn't seen any of the competition games go here. I suggest playing Robbie Swifthand first it is a really great game. You can check out mine to if you want.
