Shelving a feature...

Posted by S3xySeele on Sept. 2, 2012, 10 p.m.

So… I've decided to shelve an ambitious feature I was going to implement in Pokemon Purple: Random world generation.

I've got the macro world map generation part nearly complete, but the real difficult part is going to be generating the actual granular in-game map. Not that I'm not capable, but …

Tiny Suggestion + Diablo

Posted by KaBob799 on Sept. 2, 2012, 4:59 p.m.

So I have a tiny suggestion for whoever is working on 64d code these days, when you edit a blog it should take you to the blog you edited and not to your main user page. I often get annoyed when editing my game collection blog because I have to …

Well actually I'll speak of ludum dare first.

I made a game, yes. My first ludum dare, and it was hard, but fun.

(Especially because my family decided to pull me away to the county fair. Lost progress but made it back up.)

THE JUDGING PROCESS:

There were three judges, NAL, twisterghost and marbs, as unfortunately the other four judges, Daniel Remar, Matt Thorson, Cactus and JW, were either too busy or didn't respond in time. Each judge was asked to rank the games. A first place …

Heads up, free art book

I heard about this thanks to a new South African game development site (Which looks horrible, I must say. See here to see what I mean).

But anyways…

I'm having trouble downloading this myself, but it looks interesting enough; thought I'd bring it to everybodies attention.

Stuck inside on a rainy day...

Due to some unforeseen circumstances that don't make any logical sense but happened anyway, the four branches of the store I work for, all owned by one franchisee, are short four people today. So here I am in the store in Saldhana, with practically nothing going on. Because of this, …

So I haven't made a proper blog in forever so I figured I should give it a whirl, it could potentially be long so I'll be providing helpful subject titles.

Take notes, there's a quiz later.

Ludum Dare
