Unnamed RPG Week 1 Progress

Posted by ChessMasterRiley on May 7, 2012, 1:06 a.m.

Greetings from Stark Knight Studios!

I know this is a bit sloppy, and I can guarantee to be much cleaner in my future updates. The progress updates will be every Sunday, so keep an eye or two peeled. Constructive comments are very welcome!

Feel free to follow the progress on …

LudaRPG update

Posted by ludamad on May 6, 2012, 10:44 p.m.

So I'm totally not being trendy. Seriously. I've been picking away at this RPG since last summer (although production only really picked up recently) and I'm not entering the RPG competition thusly (not eligible).

The game aims to capture the spirit of the rogue-like genre, in a fast-paced real-time online …

My weeping willow

Posted by Fabio on May 6, 2012, 10:30 p.m.

Don't cry for my weeping willow,

For no axe feels emotion,

So save some salt for the ocean.

Because like frantic fruit flies,

Or snowmen on a lukewarm day,

We'll all be dead soon anyway.

CONTEXT: There is none. Hello everyone. I enjoy writing. I enjoy posting it for others …

Kakaru Update

Posted by Kakaru on May 6, 2012, 10:14 p.m.

Hi guys, after given it a lot of thought, i decided not to make a direct sequel of Remote Station (my original game), instead i would prefer making a bran new history, heavily inspired on the previous gameplay but adding some new RPG elements to enrich the game. I'll make …

It's Charlie, Guys.

Posted by Charlie Carlo on May 6, 2012, 8:16 p.m.

Hey, I'm Charlie Carlo; you've never heard of me.

I told Tubes (I believe you blokes know him as Taizen) that I wouldn't be joining this site. Obviously, that changed. After quite a bit of lurking, and playing a couple games, and realizing there's actually some pretty cool people on …

RPG Progress

Posted by Harrk on May 6, 2012, 7:30 p.m.

Warning: Contains slacking.

I've got exams starting at the end of May and going into June so I haven't been working on this as much as I'd like to be doing so.

Anyway, I know what I pretty much want to do and I'm working on graphics right now.

The …

(Embedded Video)

—————————————————————————————–

There. That's all of my progress, thus far. Deal with it.

It's a sprite of a character (not the main character) and will set the artistic style for the rest of the game. Not giving characters arms makes animations much easier to create. I don't really know …

Hero's Fantasy: Song Of Dueplin Update 5/6/12

Just a small update blog on what's been done recently. If you didn't pay attention last time, after several revisions, the Dureel prison stage now looks like this-

This is the starting and introductory level of the game.

After quite a few other …

Shader Fun

Posted by DesertFox on May 5, 2012, 9:56 p.m.

So, I've decided to upgrade my iOS engine from OpenGL ES 1.1 to 2.0. What does this mean? No more fixed function pipeline! I have to write shaders for everything!

So I did.

First cube is Position-Color vertex.

Second cube is Position-Color-Texture

Those two are sort of boring. You've seen …

I’ve always had a passion for console RPG’s, such as Zelda, Final …
